I’d like to think of postcards as mindful, meaningful Tweets that last.
A time capsule on display in the present. Not a mere thought that disappears into the abyss the moment it’s posted, weighing under millions of concurring Tweets; retrievable only through endless scrolling and keyword searches.
Instead, a postcard can be photographed/scanned or physically filed away. Pinned onto a corkboard or tucked away in a trinket box to be rediscovered and re-read years later.
When was the last time you sent a postcard? When was the last time you received one?
